LinkedIn Easy Apply and external ATS — when to use my-id.ca
LinkedIn Easy Apply and external ATS
LinkedIn pre-fills Easy Apply from your profile, but many jobs redirect to Workday or Greenhouse. my-id.ca shines on those external ATS pages. This guide explains how my-id.ca — a Canadian personal data vault — fits into that workflow.
Real-life scenario
Alex is job hunting across multiple Canadian employers and keeps hitting the same long forms. Alex built a structured profile from a CV upload, installed my-id.ca autofill, and now autofills contact and experience blocks in minutes. Custom screening questions still get manual answers — my-id.ca never auto-submits.
How my-id.ca helps
- One profile for employers, education, references, and contact details.
- Chrome extension autofills fields on major ATS platforms after you opt in per site.
- Job Applications tracker logs company, role, status, and interview dates (enable it here).
- Data in Canada — your résumé details are not sold to job boards or sent to third-party AI.
Good practice
- Review every autofilled field before submit — ATS parsers and my-id.ca mappings can miss niche labels.
- Update your profile after each interview round so dates and titles stay accurate.
- Store tailored cover letters in Files and attach or paste when needed.
