AI form fill from your free Canadian personal data vault

Install the my-id.ca Chrome extension and fill job, rental, school, and government web forms from your personal and family vault — spouse, kids, and other profiles included. Per-site opt-in, free to start, and powered by self-hosted AI in Canada — not OpenAI, Google, or Anthropic. What is a personal data vault?

How it works

  1. Install from the Chrome Web Store. Open the my-id.ca autofill listing and click Add to Chrome.
  2. Pin the icon. Click Chrome's puzzle-piece icon and pin my-id.ca autofill so it stays in the toolbar.
  3. Sign in with the same my-id.ca account you use on the web app.
  4. Enable autofill on the site you're on. Open the popup and turn autofill on for that site only. The extension stays idle on every other site.
  5. Focus a field, accept a suggestion. When you click into a field, my-id.ca suggests a value from your saved profile. Accept it or ignore it.

What the extension can and can't do

It does

  • Suggest values from your saved my-id.ca profile when you focus a field.
  • Run per site, only after you turn it on for that site.
  • Send field context to my-id.ca to fetch the suggestions you request.

It does not

  • Read pages on sites you have not enabled.
  • Send your data to OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, or other third-party AI providers.
  • Submit forms for you — you always click submit yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Which browsers does the extension support?

Google Chrome on desktop. Compatible Chromium browsers that install from the Chrome Web Store work the same way.

Will it autofill every site automatically?

No. Autofill rests idle on each site until you turn it on for that site. This is by design so you stay in control.

Does the extension send my page or form to a third-party AI provider?

No. The extension sends field context to my-id.ca only when you ask for a suggestion, and my-id.ca runs its own AI on its own servers.

Do I need a my-id.ca account?

Yes. The extension signs in with your my-id.ca account so it can suggest values from your saved profile.

How do I uninstall or disable it?

You can disable autofill for any single site from the extension popup, or remove the extension from Chrome at any time. There is no server-side state holding it open.
