Fill it, sign it, store it, share it — from one profile
my-id.ca is a Canadian app that stores your details once and reuses them everywhere: job applications, rentals, government PDFs, healthcare intake, school portals. It also signs documents, keeps your records searchable, and gives you an assistant that works on your own data. Free to start, no credit card.
The core loop: store your details once, then put them onto whatever form is in front of you — a website, a fillable PDF, or a sheet of paper.
Autofill web forms with one click
The my-id.ca autofill Chrome extension suggests your saved values when you focus a field on job, rental, school, insurance, and other web forms. Per-site opt-in: it stays idle until you turn it on for that website.
Upload a PDF with form fields and my-id.ca maps your profile onto the matching fields so you can download a filled copy without retyping. Review every field before you save or send.
Snap a photo of a paper form. my-id.ca extracts the field labels, matches them to your profile, and produces a filled draft you can review and print, share, or save.
Files holds your raw uploads — scans, photos, exports. My Documents holds the things you have filled, are filling, or have signed. Both searchable, both yours.
A private scratchpad with rich text, pinning, and instant search — case numbers, questions for an appointment, anything you need for a few weeks and then never again.
Add recipients, choose whether they sign at once or in order, place signature, initials, date, name, text, and checkbox fields, then send. Track who has opened and who has signed.
Most AI chats know the world and nothing about you. This one is the opposite — it works on the contents of your own account, and confirms with you before it changes anything.
Ask questions about your own data
Ask when a document expires, what your policy number is, or when you last changed your address, and get the value back instead of a pile of links to search through.
Attach a photo of an ID, a receipt, or a PDF form. The assistant reads it, shows you exactly what it proposes to store or fill, and writes nothing until you accept.
Global search covers documents, files, and templates — and the field names and field values inside them. Search for a phone number rather than for the document that contains it.
Four visual timelines built automatically from data already in your account, with flags for documents expiring in the next six months. Nothing to enter.
Nothing leaves your account unless you send it. Everything that does is logged in one place you can check.
Document sharing without email back-and-forth
When a realtor, lawyer, or other professional sends you a request, approve it in the app and the filled documents go to them directly. No attachments, no chasing.
A business can send you a guest link that lets you upload what they asked for without signing up. Register later with the same email and everything you sent becomes yours.
Most people use three things and ignore the rest until they need them: import your profile, install the extension, fill one PDF. The feature guides walk through every screen in the app, one guide per feature.
Do I have to use the Chrome extension to use my-id.ca?
No. You can fill PDFs and paper forms (from a photo), sign documents, and use everything else entirely inside the web app at my-id.ca. The Chrome extension is only for autofilling web forms on other sites.
Does my-id.ca send my data to third-party AI providers?
No. All AI extraction and form-mapping that touches your data runs on servers my-id.ca operates. See the Trust page for the full breakdown.
Is my information encrypted?
Yes. Sensitive fields are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, and every request between your browser, the API, and internal AI services uses TLS.
Can I sign documents and send them for signature?
Both. Signing a document someone sent you is free and unlimited. Sending your own signature requests is included on the free plan up to five per month, and is unlimited on Plus.
What does the AI assistant actually do?
It answers questions about the data in your own account, finds your files, fills an attached PDF, reads a photo of an ID or receipt and files it, and creates notes and calendar events. Anything that writes to your account shows a confirmation card first, and nothing is saved until you accept.
How much does my-id.ca cost?
There is a free plan you can sign up for without a credit card. Paid plans unlock more storage and higher usage limits.
