Personal AI assistant

An AI assistant that knows your paperwork, not the internet

Most AI chats know a great deal about the world and nothing about you. The my-id.ca assistant is the opposite: it works on the contents of your own account. Ask when a document expires, what your policy number is, or where a scan went, and it answers with the value rather than a list of places to look.

It answers from your own data

Your profile fields, documents, files, templates, notes, and sharing history are what it reads. That makes it useful for the questions no general AI can answer — when did I last change my address, what is my policy number, which of my documents expire this year.

Attach a document and it files itself

Attach a photo of a driver’s licence, passport, or health card and the assistant reads the values, shows you exactly what it proposes to store, and on your confirmation saves both the fields and the image. Attach a PDF form and it fills it from your profile.

It confirms before it writes

Anything that changes your data shows a confirmation card listing the exact values that will be saved and where. Nothing is stored until you accept, and typing "undo" reverts the most recent change it made.

It does the small jobs too

Create a note, set a reminder, list what is on your calendar next week, find a file by name, check your storage, or just navigate somewhere. Dictate instead of typing when you are reading numbers off a card.

Your data does not leave Canada, or my-id.ca

All AI processing that touches your data runs on servers my-id.ca operates. It is not sent to OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, or any other third-party AI provider. That is what makes it reasonable to hand it a photo of your passport.

Why my-id.ca works for this

  • One reusable profile powers web forms, PDFs, files, and document sharing.
  • AI suggestions are drafts that you review before saving, sharing, or submitting.
  • Data is hosted in Canada, with no third-party AI providers processing your profile.

Frequently asked questions

Is my data sent to a third-party AI company?

No. AI extraction, form-mapping, and chat that touch your data run on my-id.ca’s own infrastructure in Canada. See the Trust page for the full breakdown.

Can it change my profile without asking?

No. Any action that writes to your account shows a confirmation card with the exact values first. You accept, edit, or reject — and you can undo the last change it made.

What can it not do?

It is pointed at your account rather than the world, so it is a poor general-knowledge chatbot. It cannot see other people’s accounts, and it will not share anything with anyone — if you ask it to send information to a business, it explains and links to the sharing flow so you do the sharing yourself.

Does it cost anything?

The assistant is available on the free plan. The one metered AI action is extracting data from a file already stored in your account — five a month on Free, unlimited on Plus.
