Track your job search pipeline with hivi Job Applications
Track your job search pipeline with hivi Job Applications
Autofill saves time on forms; the Job Applications tracker saves your sanity on follow-ups. The board lives on hivi.ca, and the Chrome extension can push job postings into it with one click.
Capture from the Chrome extension
When Job Applications Tracker is enabled, the extension popup shows an Add to job search button under For this page (on any tab — use it while you are on a job posting).
What the button does:
- Reads the open tab only when you click — hivi does not scrape job pages in the background.
- Parses the posting from structured data (JSON-LD
JobPosting) and visible page text — company, role, location, salary, recruiter contact hints, and the page URL. - Creates a new row in your active job search on hivi.ca (the search marked active in Job Applications, or Current search if you have not created one yet).
- Prefills the row with what it found — company and role are required; location, salary, HR contacts, job link, and a note (
Imported from Chrome extension) are added when the page exposes them. - Sets status to Draft so you can review the row, change status to Applied after you submit, and add interview dates later.
After a successful capture, the popup shows Saved to your latest job search. Open Job Applications to edit or move the row. If the page layout is unusual and company or role cannot be parsed, add the application manually instead.

Real-life scenario
Taylor runs two parallel searches: "Remote backend" and "Toronto fintech." Each has its own board with separate stats. On a Greenhouse posting, Taylor clicks Add to job search in the extension — company, role, and link land in the active board in seconds. After autofilling the Workday form, Taylor sets status to Applied. When a recruiter emails three weeks later, Taylor opens the row — not a buried browser tab.
Turn it on
- Settings → Extended features → enable Job Applications Tracker.
- Open Job Applications and create your first search (or use the default Current search).
- On each job posting, click Add to job search in the extension — or Add Application on hivi.ca for manual entry.
