Keyboard shortcuts and tips
Small habits add up when you are filling long forms. This page covers keyboard-first use of my-id.ca autofill and a few practical tips.
Global shortcut (Chrome)

You can change the binding in Chrome: Extensions → Keyboard shortcuts (or visit chrome://extensions/shortcuts) and find my-id.ca autofill → Open my-id.ca suggestions for the focused field.
Inside the suggestions list
When the dropdown is open:
- Arrow keys move the highlight between suggestions.
- Enter applies the highlighted value.
- Escape closes the list without applying.
Popup tips
- Pin the extension in the toolbar so it is one click away on every form-heavy day.
- Use Fill all on this page when many fields are plain text-like and you still intend to proofread the whole form before submit.
Theme
The extension may offer a light or dark style for the suggestions panel on a per-site basis so it matches the site you are on. Pick what is easiest to read.
